Looking for a comfortable yet affordable liveaboard diving adventure to the most sought-after destinations in Indonesia? Look no further, La Galigo is the liveaboard for you!

She was conceived in 2014 by two avid divers looking to fill this niche in the Indonesian liveaboard market. Built in 2012, La Galigo is a 33m traditional Phinisi style sailboat, handcrafted by the Bugis people of Southern Sulawesi, designed with comfort and practicality in mind. Motor and generator noise have been minimised by the use of thick walling between the engine room and cabins.

La Galigo prides herself on her knowledgeable Indonesian crew. They have collectively spent many years sailing and diving around a significant number of the 18,000+ stunning islands of Indonesia.

The schedule is mostly split between Raja Ampat and Komodo, though she offers the opportunity to dive Wakatobi, Banda, Ambon, Maumere, Alor and beyond. La Galigo is predominantly a dive liveaboard but enjoys tailoring unique charters.

She hosts up to 14 guests in 7 cabins split over two floors, built with comfort in mind. The cabins are either double bed or twin share with air conditioning and en suite bathrooms with hot water. They are filled with plenty of natural light and let you enjoy spectacular views of the ocean and islands.

La Galigo strives to ensure that all guests feel at home while on board. There are many deck areas where guests can relax, catch a few rays or read a book. The excellent chef serves a mixture of Indonesian and western cuisine. The lounge area has an extensive library of books, games and a TV. Beer and a selection of wines are available on board. Snacks are available all day, ensuring you’ll never go hungry.

Dive amenities include Nitrox, a separate rinse tank for cameras and a camera room with table and charging points.

The purpose-built dive deck is located at the rear of the boat, with plenty of room to gear up and lots of camera space. As the dive deck is at sea level, it gives easy access to the dive tenders.

La Galigo often includes land excursions as part of the trips, giving guests the opportunity to explore the beauty of the islands close up.

Join a trip on La Galigo for an unforgettable experience without breaking the bank!

1 review for La Galigo

  1. Esther & Ben

We have just left a great week behind us, LA Galigo is a fantastic comfortable ship, with all the details needed for scuba trip (plenty of plugs for once, yes!) more than enough space on the dive deck and all very well organized, thanks also to the proffessionality of Freeze (our cruise director) who was alert to every single detail and for the rest of the nice crew. Security was present all the time, dives well planned and a complete briefing at the beginning of the trip and before every single dive, with all divesites drawn down by hand and memory by our amazing guides Fendy and Viki!
Also the booking experience with all for divers was very good as they always replied very quick and were in touch at each step pre-trip… The only “but” is that they didn’t had the most up to date info and thus we bought dollars whilst we could have paid our on-board bill by card.

All in all a great experience
